6 TIPS FOR MORE ENERGY IN DAILY LIFE

It is not only in the winter months that energy levels can be unusually low. Often there are several factors that interact to lead to sluggishness. Today we would like to give you 6 tips on how you can keep your energy level high and avoid fatigue.

How you can increase energy levels and avoid fatigue:

  • Keeping blood sugar stable throughout the day is essential. If you eat meals with fiber, protein and healthy fat sources, you avoid a significant rise in blood sugar. Both the body's energy level and the brain's ability to concentrate will be ensured.
  • Avoid large meals before bedtime. Larger, fatty meals before bedtime are usually associated with poorer sleep quality. As a result, poor sleep quality has an impact on energy levels and lowers them significantly.

  • Make sure you're taking in enough vitamin D. During the winter months we tend to have lower levels of vitamin D, which is often associated with reduced energy levels, a poorer immune system and depression. You can use supplements to manage that or target some meals with the use of "fatty" fish (salmon, mackerel), margarine, and egg yolks.

  • Regular physical activity reduces stress reactions. As a result, you'll feel better, more relaxed, and manage stress better. The minimum recommendation per day is 30 minutes of exercise such as climbing stairs, doing housework, or even getting a workout in. Physical activity not only has a positive effect on the body, but also on the mind!

  • Avoid sitting still for several hours at a time while working. Get moving! Get a coffee and take the time to get out and walk.

  • Doing nothing. We need breaks from doing something. Sometimes we need to give our brain a time-out. In this case, just a few minutes are enough. Sometimes it helps to let the mind float, so that the brain comes up with the smarter solutions and produce creative ideas. A break also means a break from the smartphone!
